The Fenn Family!

Here is my family! We all got together and took a family picture the morning of Gary and Amber's wedding (8/8/08). It was so hot and muggy that morning, I'm surprised anyone is smiling. Thanks to Sanya's (she is the farthest girl on the right) mom Arleen, she took this picture and did a great job - she is wonderful. Isn't my family adorable? Check out the grandkids they are the cutest things you ever did see, and I am not one bit biased. Haaa Haaa (For a closer look, click on the picture to enlarge it.)

Becca is NINE!

Well Becca turned 9 years old (on September 15). Life has been so busy I haven’t had time to post.

For her Birthday, Brady took her and Emily to “Walking with Dinosaurs Live” where dinosaurs return to earth in a live theatrical arena show (and they forgot the camera, so no pictures to post). They had a blast. The best part was when the T-Rex came out. The dinosaurs are all life size and the entire show is full of music and entertainment. It was really fun for all of them especially Brady! Becca got some fun stuff for her birthday, but her favorite was a volleyball from her mom. Here are a few pics of her on her special day

A conversation between Aaron(age 4) and his Dad-
Aaron: Dad, guess what I have been praying to Heavenly Father about?
Dad: What have you been praying for Aaron?
Aaron: That He will give me super powers!
Dad: Oh, why would you want super powers?
Aaron: So I can say super power words and grow big, like a giant and help make a fort with Papa!
Dad: Oh wow that is a seriously big prayer, I’ve been praying for super powers too.


A conversation between Emily(age 6 at the time) and her Mom-
Emily: Mom, did you know that Dad will do anything you say?
Mom: Oh really?
Emily: Yes! He told me he would do anything you say, so I hope you don’t ask him to jump off a cliff or anything like that, because he will do it!

Timber!

This is the eucalyptus tree our front yard. Brady hates it, because he has to clean up after it. Eucalyptus trees are dirty always self shedding, flaking and peeling year around, making the yard look not so pretty. The second reason, is Eucalyptus trees are used to drought conditions and create a well anchored root system when they expand in search of water. If planted in a lawn like ours, which is watered regularly, the roots “get lazy” and do not need to go in search of water. This can result in fast growing tree with shallow roots, and spells disaster if it falls onto our house. (Thanks to Google for explaining that to me) Brady was concerned that it would fall on our house. We have already had huge limbs fall, in fact one hit that window and almost cracked it.

Brady is the scout master in our ward, so he turned it into a service project.



They were such good sports, especially the scout leaders!


It didn't take them very long to cut it down.

Check out Becca's Boots, she said she was going to help and ran in and put on these fashionable boots to do yard work.

I am really sad to see it gone! I miss the shade, we will be planting a new tree as soon as possible.

Birthdays at the Binghams

I can't believe how old my kids are getting! We just celebrated Emily's birthday on Aug. 27th. Her birthday is the first one of this year for our family and they are one right after another, next is Brady's on September 11th and then Becca's on September 15 and mine and Aaron's in November and then we have Christmas in December. I feel like I am constantly at the store buying some kind of gift or gifts for someone in the family. I don’t know why I would post this, other than it really drives me crazy each year. I am constantly worrying if this child has a good gift or if I have enough goodie bags. I have tried every other year to have a family party, with no friends and it seems to help with the stress. Bottom line it is a real pain in the neck! I am bracing myself for the next party.

I guess I just have to deal with it. I know, I know- poor planning on our part! Any help on this topic would be appreciated!
