Signs of Spring on the front porch!
We have some hanging plants in front of our house; we planted them a while back. The kids love to water and take care of them. Well today we found something special in our potted plants, a bird’s nest! They are so cute; I thought it was blog worthy. Here are some of the darling pictures of a real life bird’s nest.

ELBOW UPDATE!
Here is an update on our little Becca’s hurt elbow. Yesterday was a bit frustrating for her. When she got home from school, she started to cry and explained that she had a hard time doing things with only one hand. It still looks swollen; I think her elbow may be sprained. (Left elbow)
Here she is in her p.j.'s when she woke up this morning. She said it is hard to make her arm go strait. Brady told her to keep it in the sling at school, so she won’t get bumped. I don’t know if it is getting worse or better, I guess we will have to wait for the doctor’s follow-up appointment. Don’t you hate it when your kids are in pain, or when they have to learn life long lessons....gowning pains! UGH!

Our trip to the EMERGENCY room
Today was a crazy day. First of all, it was so windy. I hate the wind! It always makes a good day bad, and a bad day worse. I was working on the computer this afternoon waiting for the girls to get home from school. Aaron was board out of his mind (driving me crazy). He noticed it was windy and wanted to fly his kite. He looked for his kite and couldn’t find it. Through his tired tears he looked and looked. The awful mom that I am, I didn’t even help the poor boy. I had to get my homework done before the girls got home from school. He sat down on the couch and
cried, cried, cried himself to sleep, the drama of not finding his kite, ugh! It is hard to be 4 yrs. By the time I realized the crying had stopped, and he was asleep on the couch, it was 3:15. My girls weren’t home yet (Wednesday is MPS early release, the girls are usually home by 3:00). I walked to the bus stop, and nothing, I think I saw a tumble weed cross the road. It was strange; I thought I had the wrong day, or that I was in an episode of the twilight zone. We have a tight schedule on Wednesday because of Lets Play Music practice at 3:30 at Aunt Sanya’s house. Needless to say, we were going to be late if the bus didn’t get here ASAP. I went and woke up the crabby boy and loaded the car, sure enough the girls came running up the drive almost 30 min’s later than normal. They informed me that the school had been in lock-down since 12:00pm. A Bank had been robbed; the robber picked the Wilson school’s neighborhood to hide in. The kids said they were scared. Emily reported that she couldn’t even go to the bathroom (they couldn’t leave the classroom). She had to go potty in a make-shift bathroom in the classroom which is basically a bucket with a sheet covering a corner of the room (she was truly grossed out). Becca said they couldn’t even go near the windows. I am just glad all the kids were safe. They do routine practice lock-downs on a regular basis. Whatever happened to the good old days? Where have they gone? After LPM at Aunt Sanya’s house Becca decided to jump on the Fenn’s new trampoline and break it in for them. She fell off and landed on her left elbow! Brady and I were both in the back yard (thank goodness). She couldn’t move her arm, the elbow was sunk in and her wrist was bending down, it was hard to look at a little sickening. She was in shock! We took her to the emergency room and boy those people are in no rush at all. They went to take x-rays of her arm; she felt a pop and instantly was fine. The swelling stopped, she could move her elbow and wrist. The doctor showed us the x-rays and told her it was a called a “Nursemaid’s Elbow” aka “dislocation of the radial head”. The radial bone is your forearm; at the head of that bone (next to the elbow) it was dislocated. So after 2 ½ hours and $125.00 later, she was fine. The Doc told her to take it easy for the next couple of days, no tumbling or ruff-housing. Brady asked the Doc if she was well enough to do her homework.
Unfortunately for Becca, she still has to do her homework! But she got a cool sling to rest her arm in for the next couple of days (until it is feeling better) knowing Becca she will wear the sling for the rest of the month. What a day! I am glad it has come to an end!

Ladybug!
I do at times feel like a taxi driver, as I am sure most mother do. I took Becca and some neighbor girls to achievement day yesterday. They came home with real live ladybugs! She told me they pulled off their wings so they wouldn't fly away (I am sure this wasn't part of the achievement day activity, but this is what they got out of it). Now at home with her precious new pet, Becca found a place in her room to keep it (a paper cup). I hate this process, because as always the poor thing will die. Well sure enough, Aaron came in this morning once the girls went to school and told me that the bug is dead. It is the end of the school year. This time of the year is always hard because everyone is going every which way and we never have consistency. Last night was the first night we got to sit down as a family and enjoy a meal together in a long time, maybe even before we did the new floor. It was nice. We had Becca's favorite, chicken enchiladas. Maybe she should have given some to her ladybug. I am working on my last paper for English 102. YEAH! I can't wait for it to be over; in fact I should be working on it instead of doing this but you know I have to work my way into writing. Not a lot has been going on. Oh, Today is my sister-in-law's birthday! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sanya!!!!! Well I should get back to my paper.

At the Daddy Daughter Dance!
Brady said the dance was loud. Every time the DJ said "High School Musical", or "Hannah Montana" the crowd of girls went crazy! His ears are still ringing.
Becca and Emily are great dancers!
They had a blast! Here is a video of both of the goofy girls. Watch closely at crazy Emily! What side of the family does she take after?????

Daddy Daughter Dance!
Ok, so tonight Brady took the girls to the Daddy Daughter Dance for their school fundraiser. The girls were so excited. In fact when they got home from school Becca said, immediately upon entering the front door, “Can I get my dress on for the dance?” I told her to calm down, that she had 3 long hours to wait.
I made them take pictures before they left. Here they are in their new Easter dresses with dad.

The New TILE!
Nick and Josh did such a fabulous job on the tile. Max (Nick's dog) slept in the cupboard well they worked.

Carpet Ride!
Taking up the carpet, was my favorite part! I have wanted to rip that stuff up years ago (it was very therapeutic for me). Underneath was scary, but with Nick and Aaron's help we got the job done!

Under Construction!
Life has been nothing but chaotic. We decided that over spring break there would be no break for us, but udder destruction to our home. We took out the entire tile floor throughout the house. I am still trying to recover from the mess and dust. It took us all day to rip up the kitchen, laundry room and both bathrooms. Then it took a full day to take out the tile in the girl’s room. It was miserable. Brady and I have never been so tired. He would use the jack hammer (thank heavens we had it) and I would shovel up the tile into the wheelbarrow. Whew! It just took the energy out of me just typing about it. Here are some pictures to share.
