Sun Splash

Summer vacation has been pathetic this summer - due to ugly gas prices! I am sure you can all relate. We decided to stay home much of the summer and do things in town. We sent Aaron to Grandma and Papa’s house and took the girls to Sun Splash. Here are some fun pictures of our day in the hot sun. We had fun despite the gas prices!

I didn't have the camera on the big rides,
so I only took pictures of the small rides.

At the end of the day,I am EXHAUSTED (the smile was coaxed out of me). I was tired of hauling big inter-tubes up the rides.

Homebound!

Tweenagers!!!!

So Becca is almost 9yrs and is totally into the “tween” years (children just before their teens, "between " childhood and being teenagers) we call them “tweenagers”! She will be entering 4^th grade this year, and she is way too cool for me! This morning while cleaning her room, she just needed to listen to her music with her disk-man (is that even a word, aka portable cd player, that Becca wishes was a I-pod or MP3 player, sound familiar). Becca went through the house looking for an electronic device that she could steal the batteries from. When all the batteries came up dead, she informed me that we need to buy some as soon as possible (that is A.S.A.P in her words).

I told her to go listen with the good old stereo music (you know the kind that plugs into the wall). Several minutes later I went to check on the progress of her clean room. Not much to my surprise, the room hadn’t been touched and this is how I found her:

She was doing what I had said, “listening to the stereo”. BUT NOT WITH HEADPHONES BECCA!!!!! since she couldn’t move anywhere she thought she would finish reading her library book.

What happened to cleaning the room!!!!!

So much to blog, so little time!

In the next few post's I will be catching up on things I haven't had time to post about. Lets see if I can get it all done without being interrupted.

Becca the BABYSITTER!

Rebecca LOVES baby's! She gets so excited when her Aunt Nina (Philip's Wife) comes and brings her little boy. She would rather take care of him instead of play with cousins. Here is what happened to her the last time they came over to visit.

It's not the 4th of July without SODA!

What a goofy boy!

After dinner we went to the fire works, I tried to take a picture.

I found my camera!

Boy it has been a while since I posted because I lost my camera. After we got home from the 4th of July, it was gone! I haven't been able to find it. I told my kids who ever found it would receive a dollar. Aaron found it, and won the dollar! Brady asked him what he was going to do with all that money; he looked at his dad and said with a matter of fact tone, “Buy candy of course”. Remember back in the day when a dollar would satisfy all your needs, you felt so important and rich.
